The returning Steve Smith has called teammate Jos Buttler as the world’s most ‘destructive batsman’ in international cricket.

He was all praise for his ‘Rajasthan Royals’ teammate during his return to top flight after serving a one-year international ban for involvement in ball tampering.

The Australian run-machine Steve Smith during a live interaction on the franchise’s social media platform said, “Playing alongside with Buttler will be great, batting with him makes things easier for me. He is an exciting player and one of the most destructive batters around the world.”

On March 26th Rajasthan Royals will be playing against Kings 11Punjab at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in which Smith’s Australian teammate David Warner also joins in.

Rajasthan Royals won the inaugural IPL under Shane Warne’s captaincy.

“It will be great- never got the chance to play in Jaipur with the Royals. I am sure the fans will come out in big numbers and support us”, Smith said.
