The first Liga Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid which will be played on October 28 at Camp Nou will surely have an unfamiliar feel to it. Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, the two talismans of their respective teams will miss out the event marking the end of an era. Not since December 2007 have both the legends been absent for the Spanish Football’s pulsating battle.

Madrid is still recovering from the sensational exit of Ronaldo to Juventus who previously lead the Blancos attack with stunning style and performance. Lionel Messi will miss the Clasico after breaking a bone in his arm at the LaLiga Santander Clash which will keep him out of action for at least three weeks.

Real Madrid was beaten 2-1 by Levante on Saturday which makes their winless run to five games across the competitions.

With Messi out of the scene for the next big clash, Madrid will be hopeful of a turnaround at Camp Nou.

History proved the failure of Barcelona against Real Madrid in any of the El Clasico in the absence of Messi. The Argentine superstar has so far missed only two of this epic battle in his football career and Barcelona always paid the price for it.

The highest scorer in the Clasico history with 26 goals, Messi outstripped both Alfredo Di Stefano and Ronaldo (18 goals each). As the football fans all over the world will be tuning to the first Clasico in a decade without Ronaldo and Messi let’s wait and see what the outcome is.
