All roads lead to Hyderabad on Sunday. But for one of today’s competitors, it will be a sad journey back home pondering over what could have been. Both Chennai & Delhi have earned their place to be in this position. But this is the nature of Sport, brings jubilation to one & heartbreak to another. One thing is for sure it will be a cracking contest as two talented sides take on each other.

Chennai

Chennai was the first team to qualify for the playoffs. They started the season in rich form efficiently adding to their points tally. But recent form is a thing of worry. They have won just 2 games in the last 7 matches. Apart from Dhoni, none of the batsman have been consistent. Although they have played a few very good innings here & there on different occasions. In Du Plessis, Watson & Raina they have players who can win matches on their own. And the bowling department needs no introduction.

Predicted Lineup –  Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, Suresh Raina, Murali Vijay, MS Dhoni (W/C), Ambati Rayudu, Dwayne Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh, Deepak Chahar, Imran Tahir

Delhi

The Capitals have a chance to enter the finals for the first time in their history. Although they started slow, they got going in the business end of the tournament. Dhawan & Iyer have been in form & it was Shaw & Pant who took them over the line against Hyderabad. The bowling attack has also done well enough to support their batting exploits. This is their chance, and it is there for the taking. There is a good mixture of experience & youth in this team. And once again a few will have to rise to the occasion if they are to get the better of their powerful opponents.

Predicted Lineup – Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer (C), Colin Munro, Rishabh Pant (W), Sherfane Rutherford, Axar Patel, Keemo Paul, Amit Mishra, Ishant Sharma, Trent Boult
