PUNJAB:

Punjab has never kicked-off with so much ease like they did in this season. Starting to win their opening match of the season, they quickly accelerated themselves to win the next against Mumbai during the weekend. Although chasing the target of 177 could have been much of a deal, but Punjab’s top batting order Chris Gayle, Lokesh Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, and David Miller chased down the score with complete ease, hereby proving how efficient and reliable Punjab’s batting order is. Although the team’s middle order is the potential weakness but opting to chose for batting over bowling can help them set big targets. In their previous outing against Mumbai, Ravi Ashwin made an exceptional change and brought Murugan Ashwin for Varun Chakravarthy. Both the Ashwins combined to bowl 8 economical overs and maintained the scores. We expect Ashwin to retain these changes in terms of bowling line-ups. Andrew Tye, Hardus Viljoen, Ravi Ashwin, Murugan Ashwin, and Mohammad Shami form a very decent bowling attack.

Probable Line-ups: KL Rahul (wk), Chris Gayle, Mayank Agarwal, David Miller, Sarfaraz Khan, Mandeep Singh, Ravichandran Ashwin (c), Hardus Viljoen, Murugan Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Andrew Tye.

DELHI:

Revamped Delhi has been playing beyond expectations. Their last outing had them drag Kolkata to season’s first ever Super Over as they played one of the exciting matches. After being relieved from such a big pressure, their confidence is definitely boosted to face their next against Punjab. In their previous outing, Delhi made some significant changes as they got Hanuma Vihari, Harshal Patel, and Chris Morris into the side and these changes have proven substantially beneficial except for Hanuma Vihari did not contribute much to the team. Chris Morris was a bit off in his landing but managed to slow the pace of the opponents. Delhi has a strong batting line-up and that goes in sync with the pitch conditions as well. Shaw, Dhawan, Iyer, Pant, and Ingram are all in very good form. They have been scoring runs in IPL 2019, international cricket, or other T20 leagues around the world. For this match, we think Shikhar Dhawan could be a big threat. He has looked good without going on and has some very pleasant memories of playing in Mohali.

Probable Line-ups: Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Colin Ingram, Shreyas Iyer (c), Rishabh Pant (wk), Chris Morris, Harshal Patel, Hanuma Vihari/Axar Patel, Amit Mishra, Sandeep Lamichhane, Kagiso Rabada.
