Ronaldo-less Portugal will play hosts to the threat Poland on Tuesday of Nations League.

Portugal sits top of the table on seven points following a draw and a win against Italy, and victory in Poland. They won that match 3-2 and that set Poland on a run of three straight defeats. With Ronaldo missing from the team, it has a count of some injuries too. Andre Gomes, Fabio Conentrao and Gelson Martins won’t be playing this one.
Portugal are on a run of six four matches unbeaten at home but they do have a habit of throwing in the odd poor performance in friendlies and draws against Tunisia and the USA, and a 3-0 loss to the Netherlands illustrate this.

While Poland had a poor Nations League campaign where they managed to grab only one point.

Defender Maciej Rybus will miss this match and there are some omissions from this squad who may have expected to be called up. One player who was poor at the World Cup was Robert Lewandowski and it remains to be seen if he will be given the night off given that Poland has nothing to play for here.

The Poles are currently on a five-match winless run and they’ve lost their last three, failing to score in the last two.

Probable Line-ups:

Portugal:

Beto (GK); Cedric, Neto, Pepe, Guerreiro; Sanches, Danilo, Mario; Rafa Silva, Eder, Guedes.

Poland:

Fabianski (GK); Bereszynski, Glik, Cionek, Pietrzak; Blaszczykowski, Goralski, Klich, Kadzior; Piatek, Milik.

My PlayerzPot XI:

PlayerzPot Prediction:

With changes Portugal made, chances of them are to be weak, but they won’t back down. It will be a tough fight but the victory pointer definitely rolls to Portugal side.
