Stadio Olimpia will witness the clash of the season’s most disappointing teams, Real Madrid and Roma.
Real Madrid, after getting badly dismantled by Roma, is desperately looking for a win to enter this contest. Real Madrid ranks first with nine-points and at this point, another loss can cost them much and lead to much panic among fans. The European champions opened their 2018-19 Champions League campaign with a 3-0 win over Roma on matchday one but then suffered a 1-0 defeat at CSKA during a tough period. The Madrid giants have won their last two in the competition though, beating Plzen both home and away. It seems unlikely that the team will be able to challenge for a fourth straight Champions League crown, but even without Cristiano Ronaldo, not too many sides will relish coming up against Real Madrid due to their incredible history in the competition.
Likely, Roma also faces defeat to struggling Udinese, except the fact that it was only their second defeat. A record of five wins, four draws, and four defeats has left Roma in the seventh spot in Italy’s top flight, and they are already nine points off the third position. Roma is facing a lot of injuries with Kostas Manolas also missing out this one. Daniele De Rossi will continue to not play for the team following a knee injury.
Real Madrid: Courtois (GK); Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo; Isco, Kroos, Modric; Lucas, Benzema, Bale.
Roma: Olsen (GK); Santon, Fazio, Jesus, Kolarov; N’Zonzi, Cristante; Florenzi, Pellegrini, Under; Dzeko.
My PlayerzPot XI:
Both teams are desperate to make a comeback and that will lead to chase and miss the match with both teams leading to a tie.
