On Friday, India Women will rejuvenate the feeling of facing their arch-nemesis, England in the second semi-final of Women’s T20 Championship.

India Women, a team led by Harmanpreet Kaur, who surprised everyone with their performance against some of the experienced teams, Pakistan, Ireland, and three-time champions Australia. The result was India emerging victoriously against their nemesis. India now tops the group after defeating titanium-made Australia. India has a line-up mixed with talents meant for dominating. Skipper Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Mithali Raj and Jemimah Rodriques are the names that steered India to the semis. India’s spinners have been spot on as they restrict the opposition with tenacious bowling and will look to do the same against the English batting attack.

After winning two games in the Group stages, one of England’s game was abandoned due to rain which made it even more difficult for England to win the group. In the final match against West Indies, England fell short only by a small margin as the hosts chased down a target of 115 in the last over. Players like Anya Shrubsole who took six wickets the last time these two sides met will be savoring this opportunity to face India again.
