Mithali Raj, who steered India’s victory over Ireland and secured the semi-finals, continued to top the list of India’s highest T20I run-getters (including men and women).

Mithali has enjoyed a superb run at the ongoing ICC Women’s World T20, scoring a huge 56 against Pakistan followed by a 51-run knock against Ireland, helping India to enter the semi-finals as the Irish team lost the game by a 52-run margin. She scored a magnificent 51 off 56 balls laced with 4 fours and a six and now has 2283 T20I runs under her belt.

The 35-year old went past Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli who have 2207 and 2102 international T20 runs respectively. Mithali has so far played 80 T20 international innings while Rohit has played 80 and Virat 58.

Mithali, the former Indian Captain also has 17 T20I half-centuries to her name and with the recent score; she anchored Women’s Team India to the semis of Women World T20 for the third time in history.
