Tottenham Hotspurs had a dreadful week as they were dumped out of the Carabao Cup & the FA cup by their London rivals. A defeat to Chelsea on penalties midweek was followed by a 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The Argentine said “It’s true, this season has been tough. You feel disappointed. You can’t feel anything different. We have to be strong. People wish we could win some trophies. But being realistic, we are doing so well. He added that to win cups in England is about being lucky, not only about quality in the squad.

All though one would argue if he had able replacements for the injured stars, Spurs may have nicked one or maybe both the matches. Starman Harry Kane & Delle Alli are expected to spend more than a month on the sidelines. Heung-min is expected back early for the next match as South Korea were knocked out of the Asia Cup by Qatar.

Top four remains a priority while the club is still in the Champions league facing Borussia Dortmund in a couple of weeks. Pochettino has little time to rally his troops as they face a tricky Watford side in two days time.
