Manchester City took a big leap towards retaining the Premier League title with a 2-0 win over Manchester United.

City who had won their last 11 League matches, now lead the Merseysiders by a point with three games remaining for both sides and this match was identified as a tricky a hurdle for City. But with games against Burnley, Leicester, and Brighton in their side, they will now be considered as clear title favorites.

The win at Old Trafford on Wednesday was hard fought for and now City attains 89 points, one more than the rivals Liverpool with both teams having three games to play.

After a scoreless first half of the game, second-half goals from Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane ensured a comfortable win for the City against United side that remains in the sixth position outside the Champion’s League qualification slots.

Bernardo Silva picked the ball from the right flank and cut inside, giving a surprise to the United keeper David De Gea with a low a drive which sneaked in the bottom corner in the fifty-fourth minute.
