Former Indian Cricket team captain, MS Dhoni who is on a two-month sabbatical from cricket to serve the Territorial Army was seen playing volleyball with members of his battalion in a video that has been doing the rounds on social media.

Earlier the images of Dhoni n his uniform along with other soldiers had gone viral in the social media network and was seen signing autographs for his colleagues while he continues to enjoy a cult figure in the nation.

The veteran cricketer, who was under a lot of speculations and rumors of retiring from the cricket field began his army stint on July 31st and is expected to undertake duties like patrolling, guard and post duty.

MS Dhoni who holds the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Army is staying with other soldiers of the 106 TA Battalion (Para) and will be doing a 15-day stint with the Rashtriya Rifles’ Victor Force engaged in counter-insurgency operations.

The wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni is sitting out of India’s ongoing tour of the West Indies comprising of three ODIs, as many T20Is and three Test matches. In the midst of the calls for his retirement from the international cricket following the conclusion of the ICC World Cup 2019, Dhoni decides to take a break and join the forces- a decision which was exalted by many.
