On Friday, Mahendra Singh Dhoni was dropped out from India’s 16-member teams for both the T20 International series against West Indies and Australia later this year.
Virat Kohli was also rested from his captaincy for next three-match T20I series against the West Indies starting from November 4. Rohit Sharma will lead the team in Kohli’s absence.
Kohli will later return for the four-match series against Australia later this year with BCCI’s selection committee still drawing names for the crucial assignment. He will also lead the side in the three T20 matches against Australia.
After proving his fitness in the Deodhar Trophy, Kedar Jadhav was surprisingly called back for the 4th and the 5th ODIs against West Indies.
The selection committee also released a 15-member team for India A for the first four day game against New Zealand A.
