The Commonwealth Games gold medalist, 17-year-old Manu Bhaker has applied to Delhi University for admission to undergraduate courses under the sports quota.

An official of the DU confirmed that she can apply to any college and any courses of her choice and will be eligible for direct admission.
Bhaker who is the multiple ISSF World Cup gold medal winner and Commonwealth and Youth Olympic gold winner has also clinched the yellow metal at the 2018 CWG, Gold coast in 10m air pistol.

Even though Bhaker could not be contacted for a comment, the official said that she has uploaded her Commonwealth Games certificate for admission to the varsity.
According to the Delhi University guidelines, sportspersons who had represented India in competitions recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports will be given direct admission without any sports trial.
