After a remarkable triumph of India over Pakistan on Sunday, the entire nation was deeply engrossed in the joy and happiness of this historic victory. India maintained its clean record against its arch-rival neighbour with a 7-0 lead in World Cups.

But this victory has also brought an area of concern for Indian team management, Bhuvi injured himself while bowling in early stages of Pakistan’s batting innings and it is said that he is going to miss the next 2 or 3 games. Bhuvi pulled his hamstring as his front foot slipped on the comparatively wet surface. And he has joined Shikhar Dhawan in the injury circuit who is warming the bench due to his hairline thumb injury. Bhuvi bowled just 16 deliveries in the game giving only 8 runs with the economy of3.

As outfield was wet due to drizzles and there were prominent footmarks near bowling area, he slipped while bowling third over of his spell and later was limping. At first glance, it was not looking serious, but just a minor pull but not to make matters worse he started walking off the field straight away which was a pretty wise decision. All the fans expected he would return soon but later there were no signals of his return and it was established that Vijay Shankar who completed his remaining over when he was off the field bowling just 16 deliveries have to now bowl entire spell.

Primarily his absence was felt since he was probably bowling spell of his life and then a partnership was building between top order batsmen but later things were efficiently managed by the spin duo of India. Good news for the Indian team is his left hamstring is not pulled but tighten and there in is nothing to worry in long run and he would join the proceedings maximum after three games which were said by captain Kohli in post-match session.

This can also prove a blessing in disguise as India now has it’s next two fixtures against Afghanistan and West Indies, and it can try its bench strength in the form of Shami, Jadeja, and Kartik as well to have a strong and unbeatable team by the time we reach the business end of the tournament. Till then let’s wish Dhavan and Bhuvi a speedy recovery.
