The rift between the T20 captain Harmanpreet Kaur and the ODI captain Mithali Raj is out in the open after their views on the selection call has triggered a storm after the teams World T20 semi-finals loss to England.

Mithali Raj was left out of the team despite being fit and Kaur had gone to justify the decision even after the humiliating eight-wicket loss on Sunday which denied India its maiden ICC title.

Both the players along with the manager Trupti Bhattacharya met BCCI CEO, Rahul Johri and GM (Cricket Operations), Saba Karim. Johri confirmed his meeting with each one of them in the press meeting but refused to divulge the details of the meeting.

It is expected that Johri and Karim will prepare and present the detailed report to the Committee of Administrators (CoA) who will assess and if required speak with the individuals required later.

It is also rumored that there is a possibility that Mithali Raj may never play the shortest format and like her contemporary Jhulan Goswami, only concentrate on 50-over cricket.
