The Indian Richest Cash Premier League is near and everybody is longing to hear the final word about the Auction. The Auction will take place on the 18th of February in Chennai. All the teams have eyes on the key players. But after the list of retained and released players coming out of the respective franchises, the teams have to look at the Purse balance to buy the big names of the cricket fraternity. No wonder the list is endless but we have tried to mark down five players that might steal the deal at the auctions of the Indian T20 League.

Aaron Finch:

Being the famous name in all the franchises he has played for, apart from Chennai and Kolkata. He might attain a milestone if he gets selected by a new franchise this auction. His T20 experience is laudable. To give his experience in digits he has 2005 runs in 87 IPL matches, at a strike-rate of 127.70. Despite some bad impressions he has made from the teams like Bangalore, he is expected to steal the limelight at the auctions of 2021.

Glenn Maxwell:

Glenn Maxwell is another cricketer who has been tagged as a player who has not done justice for the money he was bid at last season. Punjab paid the price of Rs.10.75 CR  and Maxwell didn’t even hit a six that season according to the sources. But his attacking form and his performance in Big Bash League is enough to prove his worth for the upcoming season. Coming down to talk about his digits, he has recorded 1515 runs in 82 IPL matches along with a strike rate of 154. And when given a choice, who would not look for an aggressive middle-order batsman & Maxwell fills up that requirement quite efficiently.

Steve Smith:

Steve Smith has only his amassed experience to offer for this season. He has failed to make any grand mark last season. His poor performance can put him under the scanner as he was purchased for Rs.12.5 CR last year. His international records can drag his name to the top of the list but it’s hard to debate if he would fetch a fat cheque this auction. He has a record of playing 95 IPL matches and accumulated 2,333 runs with a strike rate of 129.

The franchises have made certain bold moves of releasing such players, let’s see where they get placed this season. Undoubtedly they would be looking forward to filling in the gaps of the respective squads.
